Distinguish a download control from an advertisement
On a crowded page, several elements can say “Download”. Check what the selected control opens before treating it as the COME file route.
Use the surrounding context
Read the app name, file information and destination associated with the control. A nearby advertisement can use similar button text. Appearance and placement alone are not reliable evidence of which product a link belongs to.
Inspect the next page
After clicking, check the hostname and the offered item. If the next page describes a different app, subscription or helper tool, stop. Do not install the unrelated item on the assumption that it is required for COME.
Check the actual transfer
Use the browser's Downloads view to see whether a file started. Review the name and source before opening it. Repeated clicking across different buttons can create several unrelated files and make the situation less clear.
A useful next step
Return to the known COME entry if the selected control does not lead to the expected task.
